Day 8: A New Jacket

“Why aren't you wearing a coat?” She was dragging her own coat on as she asked him.
All around them, others were packing up and getting ready to leave as well after the lecture.
He shrugged. “Just don't wanna.” He looked at her sideways. “Why is it such an issue to you?”
She shrugged back. “You're my friend. I don't want you to be sick.” She slipped her backpack on, grimacing.
“Don't worry about me, I'll be fine.”
“Hm...” She shrugged and the two walked out of the room, making sure that at least their student lanyards were showing so none of the security staff would stop them.
Stepping out of the building, the wind hit them full on in their faces, slamming waves of water into their face.
“Holy...!” he cried then coughed as he struggled to swallow the great gulp of air that had been forced into his mouth.
They hurried for shelter to get their bearings briefly.
“Um, yeah. I've changed my mind. I need a coat.” He looked at her sideways.
“Come on then. We might be able to catch some of the shops before they close.”
