“Bleh.” He looked up into the emptying tree canopy and grimaced. “Autumn's finally arrived.”
Not that the cold wind bothered him but having a large clump of leaves hitting him right in the face wasn't very nice.
He caught the whiff of blood then a child's cry.
He turned away from the smell and forced back his fangs which were threatening to show.
“Get a grip Edward,” he murmured and forced himself to start walking away. He stopped again as another leaf hit him and he scowled. “Just my bloody luck.”

Sorry, a bit delayed in starting this month's challenge. My brain has already skipped forward to November and NaNoWriMo (which I don't know whether I am actually doing or not yet). I also don't know also if I am going to do as I have in the past and do the whole challenge with the same characters throughout or if I am going to chop and change. We'll see...
