Day 11: Giving ThanksAsliria peered into the living room and saw Lazarus and Chase were still asleep after their night out. She then quickly hurried out of Chase's place and started jogging. She smiled as she saw a few other worshippers heading into the church and slowed to a walk as she entered.Day 11: Giving Thanks by alphacadet0820
The church wasn't as ornate as some of the pictures and testimonials from the old world talked about but the building carved out of the rock was fancier than most. The windows were high and arched and the carvings and paintings on the walls featured scenes from the Bible.
She sat down on one of the pews and put her hands together before the service began.
I am thankful for everything you have given me, grateful for the support I have and the love I have from my friends and Chase.
Day 10: Soup“Is it, edible?” Maxwell asked, prodding the bowl with his spoon.Day 10: Soup by alphacadet0820
“Yes, of course.” Daniel looked at his brother confused. “Amelia wolfs it down. She likes my soup.”
Maxwell looked sceptical at him. “Really?”
“Hm.” He dipped his spoon in, retrieved a small amount and tentatively put it in his mouth. He then shrugged as he swallow. “Well, if mum finds me dead in my bed tomorrow, she'll know who to blame.”
“Thanks Maxie,” Daniel sighed, rolling his eyes.
Day 9: FootballMiles flicked around the channels on the TV then stopped on the England football game. He then turned to his friend Skyler and her partner wizardmon, who was currently reading his friends essay.Day 9: Football by alphacadet0820
He thought for a moment about asking if Wizardmon could actually understand what he was reading then decided against it and instead said, “I've never understood football.”
“Hm?” She looked over at him.
“Football. All the guys at school and college talked about football as the be all and end all but me, I never saw the appeal.” He tossed the controller aside and sighed.
“If you're not watching the TV, can you turn it off?” She looked up at him in amusement, though slightly irritated.
“Yeah sorry.” He flicked it off and started for his bedroom. “I need to go anyway. I've got a shift at the hospital.”
“Deliver those babies well,” she called back to him then prayed that none of her future paramedic colleagues would
Day 8: A New Jacket“Why aren't you wearing a coat?” She was dragging her own coat on as she asked him.Day 8: A New Jacket by alphacadet0820
All around them, others were packing up and getting ready to leave as well after the lecture.
He shrugged. “Just don't wanna.” He looked at her sideways. “Why is it such an issue to you?”
She shrugged back. “You're my friend. I don't want you to be sick.” She slipped her backpack on, grimacing.
“Don't worry about me, I'll be fine.”
“Hm...” She shrugged and the two walked out of the room, making sure that at least their student lanyards were showing so none of the security staff would stop them.
Stepping out of the building, the wind hit them full on in their faces, slamming waves of water into their face.
“Holy...!” he cried then coughed as he struggled to swallow the great gulp of air that had been forced into his mouth.
They hurried for shelter to get their bearings briefly.
“Um, yeah. I've changed my mind. I nee
